Default radio shack soldering iron

has any one used the rs soldering station its 62.99 its digital read out up to 840 . i need something to be able to solder batts easy. but dont want to spen 100 bucks on a hacko

I have one and it is ok but I do not reccomend it. it works good for about 20 minutes then you have to shut it off to let it rest for around 30 minutes. for small jobs it is ok but it is not good to take to the track and try and use it all day.

I had one... Do yourself a favor and put that 62.00 twards the Hakko.... The radio shack one is a P.O.S. mine went out on me in a month..... I bought a Hakko and it was one of the best upgrades I ever made. Plus you can get different tips for the Hakko ...the Radio shack one you can't.
