Default cleaning exausts

hey, just wondering what you guys use to clean the burnt crusty shit off your exausts
the only way i can do it atm is by buffing them

dremel buffing wheel and polish. also does not stain as bad the next time and it also gives it a nice look

crazy as this is going to sound try it if you can. take a crock pot and fill it enough to cover the exhaust pieces with antifreeze...no really! use antifreeze, the green stuff in your car radiator. be sure it's new and be sure your wife/mom/girlfriend doesn't need that crock pot after you've used it. i'm not sure how well that stuff comes out...anyways, half an hour in the crock pot and it'll be good as new.

Never thought of that........
But maybe insted of a $30 crock pot....
A $4.00 Big Lots' cheapy sauce pan and just let simmer on the stove...
I will try it with the cheapy sauce pan...........Might work as well, might not..Can not hurt to try it though.

Thanks for the idea...Wouldn't have thought of antifreeze......
I was leaning to a very toxic de-greaser I have in my garage......

I just use that white cream to clean your hands (the one that have little as stones to clean grease and all from your hands) ... you rub it against the pipe and it ends clean as new ...
