Default Super Brain 989 balancing Lipo's??

I am thinking of getting a MRC Super Brain 989 charger. But I noticed in the instruction manual that it says that "All multi-cell Lithium batteries should be put on a balancer before and during charge or discharge. Consult the battery manufacturer for proper balancing procedure.

Does this mean that I would have to buy a separate balancer if I wanted to charge Lipo batteries?

Does the Duratrax ICE balance Lipo batteries or does that also need a separate balancer?

I don't have Lipo's now, but I would like to get them in the future and I want to make sure the charger can handle them.

The duratrax ice doesn't balance lipos. Usually lipo balance chargers are a stand alone item. If you are using Orion Lipos (platnium and carbon) you wont have to balance them at all.
