Thumbs up Traxxas Rustler

Hey there all,

Lets try and see if us Traxxas users can have aplace and not bash others.

I called and talked to the kind folks at traxxas and there is a new Super Rustler coming. No word on the release date though.

I dont know how much they can do to get it better than the three that I keep running for my kids.

SO if you have some input about a rustler post it. But please be kind to others. so that we may continue to get our trucks better.

Here is what our trucks are running at this point.

Big Bore Shocks all around
Pro Ball Diff
Titanium Turnbuckles throughout
Proline Blades Front and Holeshot M3 Rears
RPM Talzon Wheels
All RPM 5x11 bearing carriers
SMC GP3300 Bats
Novak Dually ESC
Porline 00 Chevy body

I did find a usefull web site about the traxxas at:
www.ultimatetraxxas.com

I used some of the methods mentiond there but some of them where not to useful due to the fact that the chassis can use alot more cutting than what he did. I will post Pics if anyone is interested.

I didnt get into what will come on the Super. I dont think that the 19 turn can be much better than the 20 t stinger. The Nitro sounds cool but I can't see getting into the nitro arena. what ever questions you have about rustlers I can try and answer. I have been in the sport since the late 80's so I do have some knowledge. We just put an Orion CORE in one of ours and it was flying. also the SMC Batts Work like crazy. I had seen a post on their forum that the 3300 didnt do well in stock but ours went crazy.

hey i might purchase a rustler so i have some ?'s

is it any good for big jumps e.g sets of steps

also is it strong compared to a RC10B3 or losi XXX,

do i need to get a monster truck instead?

how much does travel does the oil shocks have in the box standard rustler?

Red face

Traxxas make the most durable stuff. The rustler or the stampede will jump, bump, flip and fly with the best of them. They both are very good at jumping and catching big air. The amazing part is that they will land without fear of busting apart.

The shocks are ok on the rustler, they can give you good ground clearance. The only problem with the shocks are the caps. If you land too hard they'll pop off. That can be remedied with the aluminum shock caps.

Make sure that the truck has a slipper clutch also ( we can't have you busting up spur gears). Overall the truck will last longer than any ae or losi trucks. Now that says customer satisfaction.
