What do you guys have against this guy. 95% of rc racing is in having driving skills and the right tires. Ever wonder why the novice stock class has better times than the novice mod class? It's in the driver, then the tires make the car drive without slamming into the wall every turn or flipping over.

Matt, come to McCulloughs or Altoona Raceway

Quit running against them Monster Trucks with your Rustler in the Monster Truck Class @ RC Avenue.

I might have to make an appearance @ Smithon Hole with Fish-Head

Default Enough Already

I just have to say something here:

- The picture shown with the Rustler and trophies prove NOTHING !!!
essentially, the proof is not in the pudding. I could have done up some
just like that even better. Why not say where you raced, what class,
the dates and your placings ? Maybe even a name.

- If you did win all those trophies the competion weren't all that great. Out
of one in a million chance that you are a " Undiscovered-Cavalieri ", you
have very little common sense to keep running that Rustler. Please don't
BS about how your driving style just prefers a Rustler, unless the physics
and dymanics of RC cars doesn't apply to you.

- Is this an attempt to boost sales by Traxxas ?

- All the "believers" posts are from people that have very limitted racing
experience. People that have raced at a high level of competion just know
these things. The Rustler was not design to be raced at STATE level as
claimed.

- If you 've all ready bought a Rustler , then go ahead and race it.
but you 're just starting out and really want to race then buy the right
truck, buy once. Instead of upgrading in a few months after finding out
how you really wanted a T4 or MF2.

Talking why so negative?

the rustler is a good way for newbies to get into the sport,if ya can do well with it thats a bonus.and i guarantee that a new racer will be doing a lot less repairs on his rustler compared to an mf2 or t4.
if you read his posts, he definitely has his setups dialed.

He's not a new racer though.

i only ran the rusty in the mt class until i got my stampede, which is what i race now indoors.

i've only been racing for a little over a year, and my rusty was my first truck.

if i can get my hands on a pair of front foams, i'm gonna try to run 2wd truck against the cocky guys at my track who put a bunch of money in their trucks and then flip out when they lose.

i quit racing at smithton hole after they changed the track. everyone did.

i love nay-sayers. they're just so funny.

it wasn't at smithton. kevin at r/c avenue told me that he made the a-main and we go back and forth a lot fighting for wins. he dominates 2wd truck though and i'd like to take a shot at that class too because it's not as much of a driver's race since all you're doing is going over 2 little jumps. it's more of a setup and speed race. and i honestly think that i could do pretty good there too since everything on a t4/xxx-t can be adjusted on my rustler except for ackerman. my truck has adjustable camber, caster, toe, anti-squat and such. only toe is adjustable on the truck out of the box.

Thumbs down

I dont see Kevin Burress' name listed in the RC Pro Series results.

Look for yourself: http://www.mcculloughsrcracing.com/results021906.htm

I was there for the Pro Series, and I know Kevin. I didnt see him all weekend.

If theres only 5 guys who race mod truck on any given weekend, all the guys make the A main, regardless of how poor or how good you do.

At RC Avenue in the 2wd truck class, its not driver its not setup, its who has the most motor and gets hacked the least. Given my experience I would say alot of those guys have stock cans with 19 turn armatures in them. They wind up so quick, and I know what a mod motor sounds like, I dont care what anyone says over there.

I'd like to see some of those guys come to a National event where they tech you. The guys who dominate at a local level and get blown away at the National level usually cheat. Its called being a big fish in a small pond.

hmm. well that's what he told me so i just took his word for it. guess he was wrong on that one for sure!

during the summer, some guys run 19 turn motors, but during the winter there was a few controversies as to the legality of motors so a few were torn down and they were all stock armatures. whoever cheats just so they can win are only fooling themselves.

i have john do my motors most of the time and he can really get a stock motor going. the one monster i have will go almost as fast as my 15 double with 12 degrees advance timing and stock springs.

For an eye opening experience in the world of RC dirt racing at its finest, come up to McCulloughs. We have the best racers in western Pa and thats no BS. They are giving away a kit (MF2, XXXCR, FT B4, FT T4) of your choice in the coming weeks.
