Default You DONT KNOW FAST!!!!!......

Until youve driven the Jato 3.3! OMG!! This is the fastest 2wheel drive truck that I've yet to see or hear of. This thing is so fast that when it rolls past, it sounds like a jet about to take off (jato=jet assisted take off= true). I was not impressed after the initial brake-in, but after a little tuning and a few tanks of 33%, this thing flies. I've managed to cartwheel it and break a lower a-arm, but I had a set of rpm replacements near by. I've had to turn down the throttle response in my radio to simply be able to drive it. Don't even think about going off road unless youve got some pretty stubby knobbys. M 2 cents.
HOLLA!

Default OH really ?

NO, it's YOU that dont know fast. What 's the top speed on that thing ? 55 mph going downhill with a tailwind ?

FYI, a 3 cell lipo RC18T with mamba 8000 can easily beat that.

So know your stuff before posting BOLD letter headline like that. Don't you feel silly now ?

The Jato 2.5 will do about 45-50 MPH, and there was a magazine that radar confirmed the 3.3 to do 60 MPH, but they had to gear it higher.

I had a Jato 2.5 once, but it's long gone now. Some interesting design elements, but it's far from being a competent racer like the RC10GT/2 and XXX-NT. This truck is more for newbies or parking lot racers.

my mamba 8000 3 cell lipo mini t would beat that if i hadnt hit a pothole... it was horrible to watch but so amusing i couldnt take my eyes off of it! the bigets peice we found was a chunck of the tranny case and the mamba motor. RIP Maxx-t 11-24-05 to 4-12-06...

To bad that Jato 3.3 is useless anywhere else. It is only good for straight line drags.

that is hilarious i know its costly but it must have been fun to watch a mini start a cartwheel over 60mph.

I beg to differ, It was rippin without even shifting into second gear and by the way, was your RC18 stock? or did you add hop-ups? I could easily drop some doe into the jato and get it up the the 70's range. Whats that a challenge or something? Make me feel silly at the finish line.

Here we go with another my this is faster than your that thread. Don't know if you are aware but some guy just did 160mph with a custom works ELECTRIC 2wd dirt oval car set up to do straitline speed runs (although he probably had enough $ into the project to build about 3 trick jato's, so Mr. Meandeveryoneandtheirmotherwhohasa"fast"jato you don't know what speed is and as long as you run nitro you never really will (and tether cars don't count because they are not Remote Controled).

P.S. it was in 300 feet on flat ground

How does it work on the track……oh yeah that’s right, it doesn’t. Going fast in a straight line is fun for about half a tank.

Its ok. I was just impressed with the Jato. Its still fast, and it probably wont kill the track, thats why I've got an XRay for that with a motor that I've never even heard of yet. I'm new to this, but give me a little time and I will be setting'um up and knocking'um down.

You have to also understand the mentality of many of the members here. They are more oriented towards the racing aspect, not bashing. In here, track times are the rage, not how fast something can go in a straight line. Don't get me wrong, the Jato is fast especially for a RTR, but I sold mine solely based on the fact the car performed poorly on the track.

Everybodys only getting mad at him because he said we don't know fast. Yeah I'm going to have to agree with the people that say a rc18 with a 8000kv mamba setup will beat it. But I'm thinking only if you can keep the tires on the ground. Also I think of a fast rc as something that is faster than your friends civic ricer. So I guess I could call a lot of cars fast.

The guy was just excited about his car. I guess it's up to you guys to be the Internet police to stop down anyone who makes silly bold claims.

Next up, is the 'Wonder Mop' sold on TV by Austrailian accented men really THAT great? Take it away fellas!
