first i do hope you upgraded your esc before you ran that motor. as it will burn up your esc. an 18 pinion should be good not sure of the final on a raven, but its close to losi. hop-ups good luck its an entry level into r/c but not really entry level racer. but some losi parts will fit, the only hop ups you will see will come from sportwerks. don't expect much help as no one races that truck.

Default raven st

My brother bought a raven st for my son, and its a piece of junk.
they have no upgrade parts available, except aluminum chasis parts that are too expensive for the truck. You cant change the gearing because they are completely different than normal gear sets. You can put a T4 spur on it if you change the slippers, but you cant get enough adjustment on the motor to allow a smaller pinion.
We have had for 2 weeks and its for sale cheap.

It is a bevel gear diff inside a plastic main gear. Wear quickly.

Spend a little extra on a losi xxxt sport or an assoc t4 rtr.

well unless there is a new demoliton derby class out there with the things you have put on your truck, LOL i think you may need to start over. its kinda like taking a hyundai to road race with FERRARI. you just cant justify spending any money on a truck that ready to run cost you no wore than 160 bucks. if you want some fun and very litle maintainance in the motor area the team losi rtr brushless is the way to go. also the race spec rtr associated truck is great deal also. both are under 300.00 bones.

let me about demo derbrys though i want in. i'll go get me a duracrapxs and throw it down with who ever.

That sounds like fun... If the demo derby is on, I want in. I will keep the sportjerks truck and smash the helllll out of it...
If you upgrade to all the alluminum thats available for the raven, it would be good choice in the demo derby. Let me know when we get it on.

Can I resurrect it, I bought a raven and thinking you can dremel out the motor mount holes to allow more adjustment. What kind of motor did you get. I bought it to race my little girls rc18mt. For racing, I'll stick to my 3.3 revo.
