I have a new XXX-CR and mine pushed with the kit setup. I have since modified the setup and got the car to turn good with good traction to boot. I shortened the rear camber link to 3-D, changed the rear shocks to 32.5 weight oil, added one gold .30 washer to the steering rack, and used no washers under the front tower ballstuds with the 1-b camber link position and ran the rear hubs in the middle position. These changes make the car have a good balance of steering and traction at my track.

Most people with the B4 have been adding a full ounce of weight to the rear of the car between the chassis and tranny for more traction. I added 1/2 ounce weight to the front of my XXX-CR. I hid the weights up inside the hollow cavity just above the front pivot.

Its is a sign that they do not know how to tune a car that is. There are alot of drivers that will not run anything but a posted setup. They will not take the time to learn the differences the changes make. Just make sure to get a couple sets of replacement front a-arms and an extra front bulkhead for that B4. You will need them as these parts always seem to break on this car. Often!!! And put the 1 ounce of lead in the rear of the car between the tranny and chassis to tone down the spinouts.

Mat3833,

Did the car seem to have more steering when you went to the bellcranks. I have been thinking of trying this. I am not sold on this reverse ackermann stuff they talk about.

I think the bellcrank doesn't hold up all to well also.

no problem. also could i just get an alloy bulkhead and hingepin brace? ill get arms as well but if i can get away with those parts ill be set. oh and as for the weight for the B4 one of the upgrades i get for rwd cars is an alloy gearbox. it may be unnessecary but i had one flex and my whole tranny went poof.

The worst thing you can do to a B4 is put more weight up front. I already has too much of a front weight bias causing it to oversteer and spinout especially on tracks with low grip. The extra ounce of weight in the rear helps tame the backend of the car down. I believe B4 already has an alloy hinge pin brace too. I would not think the alloy case for the tranny is needed. The B4 does not have a history of this kind of failure and AE's tranny is one of the best in the business.

You will like the B4. With the weight in the rear it is a good consistant car.
