No problem. We were just proud of our boy. He needed a good weekend after Hutch.

Car looked good for sure. Even on that very rough track.

Yes the RC Pro series runs a wheeler class. Hoping to have one in time for the first race.

What is the standard Spur gear that comes in the SB V2, and what gears are available? I am thinking about getting one of these to build a truggy as Kazz's pics got me hooked.....Just curious on the gearing available or what other spur's fit? On Stormer there is only 78T & 80T Spur.

Also, Kazz, any details/tips you might want give me or or to my email would be appreciatted: [email protected]

Also, bean, if you wouldn't mind sending me your setup for Mikes Hobbyshop track to use as a starting setup I would appreciate it. I was not able to make it to the race Saturday but I dropped by and saw you running and your car looked hooked up. [email protected]

The car comes with 70-80 in 2 teeth intervals. So the kit comes with 6 total spur gears.

Would be the standard gearing for the buggy with a 5.5, or at least a close starting point?

I'm running a 6.5 with 80 spur gear and 15 - 17 pinion depending on the track.

jsmax - This is the setup I ran at Mikes:

Front - Associated #2 pistons, 37.5wt oil, associated silver spring. 0 limiters. outside on tower, middle on arm. -1 degree camber. front diff with oneway on shaft. bones lvl. #4 camber link positon.

rear - Associated #1 pistons, 32.5wt oil, associated green spring. 1mm limiter. 2nd hole in on tower, inside hole on a-arm, bones lvl, 2degree anti squat, 3 degree toe in. 4-a camber link. (top of hub carrier ground down .060 to allow for ballstud height adjustment) 2 washers under ballstud.

rear hubs were also ground down on each side .030 to allow wheelbase adjustment. ran hubs in middle.

Full 6 cells on left hand side, electronics on right. 8x1 geared 16-80. Losi pink x2000's rear, losi pink tapers front. Proline inside jobs would probably be a little more consistant front and rear though.

I also tried academy 2 hole pistons in front and rear, with 40wt f, 35wt r oil, same springs. car felt good, little choppy in the super rough parts though.
Car had lots of lowspeed steering and a little bit of a push at high speed. I will be doing alot of experimenting the next few weeks and post up on my findings.

Was a great weekend. car was super fast and so easy to drive. Really looking forward to the next race! Thanks to my gang and Dave G at MRC for all the help!

Thanks, I think I am gonna have to try this car. I like how the xx4 handles but accelaration is horrible....I like the speed/accelaration of the ZX-5 but was very fragile. Maybe the V2 will be a good middle ground. May have to get 2 of them to make one a truggy.

James,

Let me know if you get one and I may split the shipping on this.

Send me an email with your number so we can talk.
