Default spur gear pitch??

hey i own a 1/10th buggy with a plastic gear but i am looking at custom making an adapter to fit bigger 1/8th spurs but my question is are all nitro surs the same pitch? i run a kyosho buggy so it makes sense to run 1/8th spurs but are all nitro the same pitch? sorry dont wanna get my hopes up then find out some thing stupid like this

your idea will not work. 1/8 scale spurs are 32 pitch, 1/10 scale cars are 48 pitch, some touring cars and 1/12 scales 64 pitch. I don't see how you could mount a clutchbell from an 1/8 scale to an electric motor either, not too mention the efficiency will go right out the window.

oh sorry, the car is nitro,
im going to be mounting the 1/8th spur in a nitro 1/10th buggy?
im doing this to get more gearing options

1/8th scale and most nitro are mod1, not 32 pitch....

Mod1 is a little bit larger than 32p. Find out what pitch the buggy is now. I don't know of many 32p nitros, except for the RC10GT. Just take the bell from it and try to mesh it with a spur from your Kyosho. You'll be able to tell if they're different.
