Don't hold your breath, They did not have a new buggy at the recent worlds and no one has seen any testing of a new buggy. However kyosho is working on a new buggy and is expected to be at the euro's and released in a year and a half or so. Even if the "new" Mugen is a steep forward it will still have a hard time beating the Kanai buggy.

Hold off buying a Kanai anyway. As the above post says, Kyosho are currently working on a new buggy too. Rumour has it that it will be seen by the end of the year.

mugen just kinda dropped the mtx-3 out of nowhere

i heard about it in aug or sep then all of a sudden it was available

i was thinking they would do the same with the buggy

as far as mugen vs kyosho goes i really like my mugen cars and i have alot of faith in them if they decide they want to be better than kyosho i think they can do it

I don't know much about the mtx-3 but the mbx4rr when it came out was a piece of junk until they made the xr and the mst-1 is allso very problem prone ( I own one ) I am still waiting for new axlex for the darn thing..........

im sorry to hear about your luck kingzj

i have nothing but good things to say about my mugen cars so far

i had mtx-2 then got mbx4xr now mtx-3 i have had a bunch of other brand cars i didnt like nearly as well rc10gt ntc3 xxx-s storm and t-maxx

i think the mtx-3 is the best touring car out there unless you run at hamilton ohio it is a major improvement over mtx-2

if the new buggy is as big an improvement over xr as mtx-3 is over mtx-2 it will be a really good buggy maybe better than kanai

i believe the mst-1 since it was their first attempt at 1/10 truck that is why it has some querks to work out

if im not mistaken your kit is probably one of the first ones i have a couple friends who got them a month or two after they were released and they really like them both upgraded from other trucks as far as i know they havent yet broken anything

Mugen is testing new axles for the truck sometime in the next week. Considering this was their first shot at a stadium truck, if that's the only problem, then I think they did damn good.

BTW: I don't run an MST, but I do run Mugen onroad cars EXCLUSIVELY-- MTX-2, MTX-3, MRX-3

Its not like they designed the truck from the ground up it is a copy of the xxxnt. And yes it is a proble because the truck has been out since the end of last summer and I still don't have any axles that last more that a day of racing. The only way I can use it is with losi cvd's and you have to grind the crap out of them to get them to work....

its true that it looks like a copy of xxxnt but mugen still had to design the parts themselves even if they looked at xxxnt for design cues they had never had a truck before they still had to make their own parts

unfortunately they didnt realize how strong the axles needed to be

ive heard they have realized the problem and are fixing it even trading old axles for new ones thats cool at least

other than that how do you like it

i think the mugen plastic is far superior to losi and associated which will lead to a more durable truck once the axle issue is resolved

and it should handle well because it was designed while looking at xxxnt which ive heard is the best handling truck

the plastic seems fine it is pretty soft and forgiving. For axles they should have just gone with mip it would have saved allot of hassle. I sent my axles into them about a month ago and still havn't gotten anything back yet. the big shocks are nice but they still havn't come out with any optional springs for it yet. It just seems to be a slow process.
