Default How to get Ti stuff Gold

I know in the past Peanut and Freak as well as others have made their Titainum stuff gold. How do you accomplish this. If I remember right something to do with 9v batteries and some kind of fluid and wire but I just don't remember the entire process.

To anyone that can help thanks.

you need the cleaning soultion called TSP (you can get it at home depot)
Then you will need 56 volts DC to get the color gold. I think blue is about 30 volts or so.

TSP=4.00
1 Dixie cup .25cents
two pieces of wire and an alligator clip
Just hook the batt. up tog. and dip it in the tsp. I usually clean the hell out of my TI before dipping it. If you are doing alot keep the fluid fresh. Casey is correct on the voltage.

For Gold:

items needed:

1 bowl
simple green
1 pair of alligator clips
tape
your titainium.
7 9 volt batteries

1. connect the 9 volt batteries in series

2. tape the negitive lead to the botton of a dry bowl and attach the other to negitive on the battery

3. fill the bowl with simple green

attach the other aligator clip to the positive side of the battery, and clip on to the titainum.

4. dip half of the titainium in the solution DO NOT touch the negitive lead in the bottom of the bowl, DO NOT put the positive aligator clip in the solution. Will see bubbles from the negitive lead on the bottom of the bowl, when it slows or stops the process is done, flip the TI over and repeat.

2 9v batteries = blue

3-4 batteries = green

5-6 batteries = grey

7 batteries = gold

8-9 batteries = purple

I have done this on all of my off-road kits using the TSP. It works GREAT.

Just remember not to let BOTH alligator clips touch the soultion at the same time. IT WILL RUIN your TI-stuff.

You will have to do Half of one Turnbuckle and then the other half.

I will see if I can get some pictures today of mine on my Truck and Buggy.
