help with soldering.

I have never had this problem before. I try to solder my moter leads on to a team orion revolution moter, and the solder dont stick. I have tried to rough up the surface and still nothing. I use solder from radio shack. I dont know the specks on it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Try a hotter soldering iron it sounds like yours is to weak a good cheap iron is a Weller 40 watt make sure you dont get anything less then a 40 watt thats probably what your problem is.

I have bought a few rolls of solder that will not do anything but form a blob. I know the lead free stuff is the what I've had trouble with. Radio Shack has quite a few to choose from, maybe you picked up some of the unleaded.

Use soldering paste. Dip the tip of the soldering lead and apply a little coat on the surface that you're going to solder. Without soldering paste you will notice that it's building up a varnish-like substance every time you solder.
