make my rc10gt faster???
i just picked up a rc10gt plus last week. i t hink i tuned the engine pretty well but i'm a little disappointed with its power. Is there anything i can do, other than buying a new engine, to make it quicker??
also, if i decide to buy a new engine, any recommendations? |

dude....way too expensive. i'd port the blower on my mustang b4 i spend that much on an engine for an r/c car. thats nuts.

remove the carb restrictor and retune....

i noticed that thing and i wanted to take it out, but didn't know how. how do i do it?

it should just pull right out, they do kinda "snap in" a bit. Make sure you richen the top end by a 1/4 turn because you are letting in more more air, you need to let in more fuel.

yeah thanks, i figured it out yesterday afternoon. think i tuned it well, its much better, has a lot more torque. i was doing donuts in my driveway. i'm probably gonna mess with the gearing a little bit to get some more top end.

if your just interested in top speed in front of the house, put a larger clutchbell or smaller spur gear on it.
|
If you want top end I would say do a 62/15 stock is 66 I currently run a 64 but I still like the 62 as it is way fast on top and I don`t spin in the corners as much but you will have to try what is best for you.

thanks, i was wondering what clutch bell/spur gear combo to go with.
