Default One cell hotter than others in pack

This is a fairly new pack. 3300 Powerizer. Why is this happening?

is this pack matched? i doubt it..powerizer is that one cheapo company..anyway

the most sensible thing that comes to my mind is probably the other cells are dumping faster than that particular cell, and alot of the battery's juice is being sucked out..causing it to heat up...i could be wrong..im not sure

or that one cell is going bad...

either one of those..

sounds like one of the cells is being over charged ... or under discharged as the other cells capicity is diffrent from that one .. try discharging the pak then use an equalizing tray after the pak sits for a while ... this should help with keeping the cells even throught cycles ...

Like it was said earlier try to use a tray before you recharge your pack. If it still gets hot after using the tray properly then I would suspect that cel to have a high internal resistance which generally means that the cel sucks or is going bad. I recommend the zero 30 tray from Integy. I use one regularly and my pack are always great.

Default wow

Today it took THREE charges to get approx 1600 mah in this batt., and it was HOT. I ran it, and it ran pretty good/long. BUT, when I took it out, it had actually MELTED THE SHRINK WRAP ! ! ! ! Only around THAT particular battery though. Guess it will be retired until a "battery rebuilding day".

IF 1 CELL IS hotter than the others means that, that cell has a higher internal resistance than the others. its prob been overcharging.
