Default Ryan Maifield wins 1/8th Scale National

Not sure why there isn't a thread for the Nationals.

Travis Amezcua won all 4 rounds of qualifying with the new Losi 8ight buggy, but flammed out in the main a few times.

They need to show that Ryan won with a OS V-Spec, Asscoiated changed the head on the engine for pictures.

He runs LRP engines but ran an OS during racing and changed the head for pictures.

I just think that is wrong, you have to give credit were it is due and OS put him in that winners circle. He had problems with LRP and Asscoiated purchased him some V-Specs, and now they want to take credit for the win what is this industry comming to? He deserved to win but don't hide the fact he did not use LRP.

How about he ran a 777 and put TTR decals all over the buggy, did he win with a Thunder Tiger buggy?

He couldnt put a bad name for the LRP engine so Associated did what they could. Its the same as proline drivers running taper pins at the Hot Rod Shootout but putting Holeshots on the magazine forms.

Not a good excuse, this is a major event and he should have been using LRP and not OS. I would expect an OS driver to do the same, what if this was the worlds? Dose it make it right? Even tires they should be truthfull about the equipment they run, this was not a local race event.

What about his other sponsors they want him to win to and they need to do what it takes to win, and if that means lying about what engine you run then tahts what they are gonna do, lie. Now lying about tires happens at every big race, not just the Shootout, racers do what they need to in order to win.

BS!!! COME ON!!! That is the biggest load I have heard, there are a lot of drivers and manufactures that have the common sense not to give themself or there companys bad names. And most manufactures would understand that if there product is not upto par in this level of compitetition not to use it. If that was the case why not just use the LRP head from the begining? It still STINKS
