That looks really cool and the classes sound right. Never raced so what are the things that looked like pyramids with the peaks cut off? And in the classes what does MT stand for? Other than that looks good. Are you actually going to build this?

I am open to suggestion on other rules
How many people do you know who would continually show up if there was a chance they only get one qualifying run in, and then they are out of the competition?? Especially if they have to pay an entry fee? The idea is cool, but without having a closed course(meaning multiple laps for 5+ min) and multiple qualifiers, I don't know how much fun it would be too run for ~20secs and be done. Some of the racing that you are patterning this off of uses a large hill/mountain side to build the course, that alone will be difficult to cross over into a usable RC layout I would think.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Those pyramid looking things are actually my feeble attempt at drawing jumps in 3D

Your probably right about that. My original idea was to have 3-4 qualifying runs and take the best run. I'm sitting here thinking about it, and maybe it could be the two best runs combined for an overall time, but remember the first part of the last line of my rules post:

I need suggestions. The only way I can make it work to everyone's liking is if you TELL ME WHAT YOU LIKE! I will use suggestions as the circumstances permit

Ok folks, Here's a big one. This is how the 50 states of the USA will be broken down for the DHRCMX regions:

New England

Rhode Island
Massachusetts
Vermont
New Hampshire
Maine

Northeast

Pennsylvania
Delaware
New York State
Connecticut
New Jersey
Mid Atlantic
Virginia
Ohio
West Virginia
Michigan (both the mitten and the finger)
Maryland

Southeast

North Carolina
South Carolina
Alabama
Georgia
Florida

Midwest (East)

Missouri
Illinois
Indiana
Kentucky
Tennessee

Midwest (South)

Oklahoma
Texas
Arkansas
Louisiana
Mississippi

Midwest (North)

North Dakota
South Dakota
Minnesota
Iowa
Wisconsin

Midwest (West)

Wyoming
Colorado
Nebraska
Kansas
New Mexico

Southwest

California
Nevada
Arizona
Utah
Hawaii

Northwest

Alaska
Washington State
Oregon
Idaho
Montana

Canada

Mexico

These are the regions for DHRCMX, people start looking for good long (but not too steep) hills and let me know via PM or email to [email protected]

Edit: My apologies to the Canadians and Mexicans on this forum who thought that this sounded like fun and would have liked to get in on it

I have been following this and all looks good. 2 qualifiers at least in my opinion. They should be ifmar starts as well.

Default Just a suggestion

I think that sounds like a great idea.. but as someone touched on eairler.. u get one shot down and thats it.. but what if had the same idea going down.. but also a long straing going BACK to the top and go down again... makes it contunious.. still down hill, yet more fun IE longer race, get your moneys worth out of it?

I am considering all these suggestions. Oh, and btw, I am talking to a friend of mine who is helping me with all this and The courses are challenging enough that everyone gets equal chance. I dont know if I posted the updated rules here yet but I am currently updating them as we speak and they should be up by the end of the day. Oh and the raci ng setup will hopefully motivate people to do well in the first place. If they do well, then they advance, if they dont do well, they cant blame it on their equipment
