Default Quantum Competition 3? EVER?

Any word on when this thing is going to be out? What company discontinues generation X (QC 2) 8 months before generation Y (QC 3) is out?

Maybe LRP is giving up on the brushed side of things? I really have no idea, but I found it very interesting that the LRP sponsored drivers at the 1/10 touring / 1/12 scale world championships happening right now are using the sphere competition for the races and are doing quite well. Maybe LRP is only going to be producing brushless/brushed speed controls from now on?

It would surprise me if that were the case, given that the Quantum Competition is the "go-to" speedo in tight situations (TC, 4WD off-road, etc).

Yes, the GTX also works, but not every one wants a keg-sized cap to manage in their car. Nothing against Novak, but that turns some people off, and those people usually turn to the QC for a small solution without a capacitor.

It's because they all go POP isn't it ? so they are fixing that problem.

Hence team drivers sticking Qc2 in their shiney Qc3 cases, or even other brand esc's.

allegedly.

I've heard this, too. I just wasn't sure how much of it was conspiracy theory and how much of it was true.

Maybe they're refining their "Ice Drive Technology", although with the Sphere Competition, all that translated to was "added power cap".

But in all seriousness, I can deal with delays and such (though LRP really needs to learn how to gauge their development so they can properly market their products... this has happened with every single ESC release of theirs over the last several years).

What I DON'T understand is the idea of discontinuing a battle-tested product before you're ready to go to market with its replacement.

That's just bad business.
