Default Trying to Decide - BJ4 WE or Xray XB8R

Guys,

It looks to me that the cost for either the BJ4 WE or the XB8R when all is said and done is roughly the same cost. I'd love some opinions as to which would be the better value all around. I don't think I'll be racing, but certainly will be running either vehicle on a dirt track in my backyard with my son.

I've always been an electric guy, but thought nitro may give me longer running times that 5-7 minutes with a 6 cell battery pack.

For the money, which would you choose, and why?

Thanks!

that's a tough one since the bj4 is a 1/10th buggy and the xb8 is 1/8th the are two very different types of cars however they both are pure race cars. i would get what ever falls into your comfort zone as far as knowledge.

personally i would get the bj4we but i don't run nitro at all so that's easy for me

Thanks. I'm leaning toward the BJ4 only because I have a brushless motor and esc and battery packs. Perhaps in time LiPo batterys and such will extend run times beyond 5 - 7 minutes?

It also depends on what is most popular at the track you race. 1/8 gas is big at the track i race and 4wd electric is a rare occaision to run. I don't mess with nitro so i have a kyosho zx-5 and the lipo packs are suppose to give up to 15-20 min of run time with brushless (from what i read.) It all depends what you are after.
