Default Please someone answer me.........

Im planning on buying a pre-built evader (for 120.00) it comes with ESC and motor and just requires battery charger radio and reciever. I have a radio reciever and charger already so i just need some more batteries, heres the question....
I was surfing towerhobbies and dont know a whole lot about 1/10 batteries because i race the HPI micro rs4 (alot of fun and can be very fast too) I have 2/3 A packs and you can't use them on 1/10, so i need some batteries. I dont want to spend more than 50 on my first purchase so here it goes....
2 peak performance 2400 MAH for 37.99 and one towerhobbies 1500 MAH pack for 10.99
6 duratrax shark 6 cell 1500 MAH for 53.99

Basically the same price but is it worth it to have 6 packs? what will be the run time on a 1500 MAH pack, punch?
How long will they take to charge on my superbrain at what amp?

p.s. just tell me if im an idiot for buying 6 1500 MAH packs.........

Howdy....
Do yourself a favor and don't waste time with unmatched low performance batteries. Buy matched packs. Buy Nickel Metal Hydride. Buy the most performance you can afford. Decent matched packs will serve you longer and will help if you plan on competing at any level. If you're worried about prices...you should be !!! Matched packs from big companies like Trinity, Peak,Etc..... can be very expensive. There are very good small battery companies. Try www.promatchracing.com. Make sure you look at the "monthly specials". You should be able to find a good deal on 3000mah NMH batteries. Also, your super brain will charge both NiCad and NMH cells. Let me know if I can help.

6 useless packs are no where as good as 2-3 really good packs. If you need confirmation...go to a race before you buy any batteries...look at what they run. Just a suggestion but.....it is your money. Good Luck

I have 3 of the towerhobbies 1500 packs. They are good, they don't quite have the same punch as my sanyo 2000 but they are still good for just playing around. You could think about getting a towerhobbies quick charger ($20) and maybe some of the 1500's. That way you will always have charged packs.

The 1500mah batt will run for about 10-15 min. If you want charging times it should tell you in the charger's manual. I can tell you that if you use a mega 1 it will take 20 min. to charge and 25 min. to charge a 2400mah pack.
