Default B4 stock pinion Question?

Do you know how many teeth come on the associated B4 RTR stock pinion? I want to decrees the number of teeth for more acceleration. I am not sure how many teeth it comes with though, but I want to experiment with one less tooth.

Easy way:
Uh... count the teeth? It's a low number I promise!

Hard way:
Failing that you can download the manual from www.rc10.com and see if that information is in there.

its an 82 but might be 81. if you got rc10.com you can look it up. i have one but after a few years of messing with them i just run what they come with and mees with pinion gear and motor set-ups.

It is an 81 and it should be stamped on the spur.

Gentlemen,

dupsta asked

"Do you know how many teeth come on the associated B4 RTR stock pinion?"

Not the spur!

According to AE B4 manuals

B4SE RTR part #6681 >> 23 tooth pinion

B4RS RTR part #6681 >> 23 tooth pinion

Tmail55,
Thanks for the straight forward answer. Sorry guys I mislead you with the subject title. Give me a couple weeks and I will get the hang of all this stuff, didn’t mean to piss any of you off with asking! I work so much that the time off I have I would rather not spend reading than racing, but I got the manual now thanks again.
Rysuleod, hey chief didn’t have the pinion in front of me, but thanks for taking the time to express how you do it, I can’t count past 10 anyway…

If you want more speed from changing the pinion you need to get a bigger one, not drop teeth. That's probably why guys thought spur gear, that and the title does say spur.
Notice if you type or say spur to many times it sounds like a really funny word.

Bigger spur = more bottom, less topend
Smaller spur = less bottom, more topend
Bigger pinion = less bottom, more topend
Smaller pinion = more bottom, less topend

Yea, thought I cleared up the little title mix up in my last post, (Spur pinion mix up, I will try to edit this title since this has gathered tons of insincere advice anyway) Tmail was able to figure that tuffy out. Oh well, not sure were you got the impression I wanted to increase speed either? Hey what thread are you reading anyway?
While you have increased your post count by one, I have decreased my spur count by one.
Thanks for your input though. I will try not to say the word spur too many time in succession.

Thanks Tmail

Dupsta, here's a link you can find ANY info about the B4. And if you have a question it'll definately be answered by an actual pro racer. It's very long, but tons of info in there. Charlie Perez Thread, B4 Forums
