Motors and Batteries... which ones to use

Hi all,

Gettin back into offroad buggy racing after 12 years. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what some of the best 2wd stock and 4wd motors are? Also, battery packs... what are some of the best? When should you run 6 cell and when should you run 7 cell?

7 cell is a thing of the past - electric is all 6-cell now.

The top cells are now 3300, or 3000 NiMH - although smooth drivers can still get away with a 2400 NiCd in off-road.

Motors - stock would probably be anything current except for the new Trinity Monster, which seems too low on torque for off-road. Modified racing sees 10 or 11 turns as the hottest.
