Default Mugen MST-1 with SH .18

Hey guys,

I want to get the SH.18 but i'm not sure if the clutch bell will fit on it seeming the shaft on motors vary in .12s.

Anyone know if its a fit or not?

Thanks

I just purchased a new motor for my MST-1. I used all the hardware Mugen included in the box. I put on the collet and flywheel to get an idea of how much thread I needed to cut off. I then took my dremel and cul off the extra threads (with collet and flywheel off). I then put collet, flywheel, washer then Mugen clutch nut on. I also used a little locktite on the threads before putting the clutch nut on. Then you can follow the manual on putting on the clutch bell and shoes.

Thanks,

The new motor comes with the collet thing which is cool. Which motor you just put in there?

BTW this is going to be a pullstart

Funds are tight so I went with the Dynamite .12 SPD non-pullstart. Hopefully I will get a return on investment on it. There are about 4 guys that use it and love it at my local track so I figured price was right, what the hell. I had the Mugen MT .12 that came with the truck for about 3 years or so. That motor definitely owed me nothing! Too bad I couldn't find a piston/sleeve for it.
