Default need help on gearing the xxx b2k

my motor seems to get hot quick. If i run a 27t stock what gear ratio should i stay between so I dont burn out the motor. Also whats a good gear ratio for a 6.5 novak brushless. Im not sure if I should go up a tooth or down a tooth if the motor gets to hot to fast.

Novak has recommended gearing for their brushless systems in their instruction manuals.
