4wd 1/10 tires
 

What companies are making tires for 4wd 1/10 buggies at the moment? Besides Panther (Whose website is down), Pro-Line, and Losi.

I'm looking for, in particular, step-pins (thank you Losi for discontinuing those fantastic tires), and street tires. But basically anything else to see what's available so I can make choices for the tracks I'm going to be on.

Well those appear to be nice, other than the fact that the pictures don't enlarge on one website, and the other doesn't have pictures, lol. How do they ever expect to sell anything....

Those tires don't appear to be aggressive enough for me though. I'm going to be running in very soft dirt.

I wish Losi would make some step-pins.

They have another tire that I now prefer over step pins. It doesn't collect dirt like step pins but it provides great traction in step pin conditions. I can't remeber the name of the tire though. It has like 3 rows of step pins on the outsides and like 3 rows of little donuts down the middle.

You might want to check out the IFMAR stud from Losi. I have used them on some loose and unwatered tracks, and they work really well. A harder silver compound with a firm insert, and you're all set. Very nice tires for 4wd. You can also get the IFMAR pin, but the fronts are a lot tougher to find than the studs.

I second the Studs. they work pretty well in loose stuff.

I am seeing about getting someone to make me a set of 4wd front Step-pins , one losi and one Proline style.

IFMAR pins are great.

If you really need Step Pins make them. It's not that hard.

IFMAR Pins are nice, but do you have a source for the fronts for a 4wd?

Take a set of rears,cut about 1/2" out of the middle,glue them back together.

Ah, cut & shut. I'd rather not get into that... I didn't realize they still made a step pin rear. I thought those had been discontinued. They never made front 4wd tires in step pins.

It's so hard to tell what is and isn't available from Losi.Half the stuff on their tire chart is discontinued and half the tires they make aren't on it.

Partywagon, if you figure out what tire it is, be sure you let me know.

I'm getting an XRS whenever they release it, and then slowly converting it to an X10 due to parts being cheaper. At the moment, though, I am SOL when it comes to tires, so I'm in a tiny bit of a panic.

I need something as agressive, or preferably more agressive, than IFMAR studs, and in a very hard compound.

I don't see why you would need anything more aggresive than IFMAR studs. I run in soft dirt all the time and they work perfectly for me

How are they what I need? I can't even see them... I haven't got the slightest clue as to what the different compounds are, either. I only know Losi's compounds...

hvac this is the second thread you've gotten snippy on with people who are trying to answer questions for you, the schumacer tires are ran primaraly in the uk and they have some hard compounds but you would need to get with some of the uk guys to better answer that question check www.oople.com they have a forum and are helpful (just don't get so defensive)

if you have to get step pins your best bet will be either silver losi's or proline m2 compounds (i don't think you can find the xtr compound anymore) for the fronts unfortuantley your gonna have to make those in step pins
