Default Schumacher Fireblade

Hi all...

I used to race about 12 years ago (2wd-offroad). I mainly raced AE RC10's. About the time I got out, Losi was comming around. I am now trying to get back into it and am wondering what you all can tell me about the Fireblade EVO and EVO2. I have heard both names mentioned, but have only seen the EVO on the Schuie web site. Can someone give me some info on this car? I am really trying to avoid contributing to the AE and Losi domination that is going on right now (At least from what I have seen). Can this car compete or should I stick with the mainstream?

Any info would be great!

Thanx!

Default Fireblade

Iím in the same boat as you, I too recently reentered rc after about 10 years. I just got a fireblade USA off ebay and been driving it around the neighborhood like crazy. I want to get an EVO or EVO 2 and race it soon since Iím getting board just chasing around neighborhood cats. I wish I could help you out more but I donít have much experience with this car yet, though so far I love it. It's very fast and handles great. There is a board called Schumacher off road forum filled with a bunch of guys who run Firebladeís that should be able to answer all your questions since i can't.

Unless you're running on a small euro type track, stick with the B4 or the xxx.

The Fireblade won't jump nearly as well and I hear Schuie off road parts are not as good as their onroad cars'.

Parts will be tough to find.

Iíve never heard that their off road parts arenít as good as their on road parts. That doesnít really make sense to me anyway since they pretty much use the same compounds to make the parts on all their kits. As far as jumping goes I can personally say my fireblade jumps very well though I donít have a b4 or xxx so I canít compare it to those cars. Parts are not as easy to get as the b4 or xxx since most hobby shops donít stock Schumacher parts, but you can easily get them off Schumacherís website and youíll have them in a few days. I live in Florida so whenever I need parts I have them in two day since Schumacher is located in Tampa. Part availability has never been an issue for me. Iíve taken some unbelievably hard crashes with my fireblade and I can tell you the car is really durable the only thing Iíve ever broken is the front A arms from a full speed head on collision. In all honesty the difference between the EVO 2, the B4, and losi cars is like splitting hairs. Itís really up to you, there is not one that is far more advanced then the other. They all pretty much share many of the same features and you could win with any of them. I personally was board with seeing losi and team associated everywhere so I got an Schumacher.
