did anyone find out for sure if they're aluminum yet, I can't find it anywhere because if there not the front shock tower looks like it would be easy to break.

the shock towers front and rear are definately aluminium..... 4mm thick for memory that sit in a plastic support.

the car is very steery out of the box, but we have got a reasonable set-up that we a confident that we can race hard with...
