Quick question about air filter placement.

i am wondering if my air filter will melt if i position it too close to the engine head. i have a buggy and a truggy and i position my air filter away from my engine head. it would be more convenient for me to place the air filter right next to the engine, actually contacting the head itself. it will give me better body fit and throttle linkage freedom. so, will it melt the filter foam or case if it is touching the engine head?

I have been placing mine up against the head since we started racing nitro and have never had a problem.

The engine head generally doesnt get all that hot, now it was right by your exhaust header, or pipe that would be a big problem.
