Default 4wd front driveshaft angle

Asking here because I don't see any solid reference to this topic.

I like to compare car geometries between brands and saw a noticeable difference in the front driveshaft sweep. I see front driveshafts are usually swept backwards while rear driveshafts are swept frontwards.

There are some brands with the front driveshafts close to being straight and others with a lot more backwards angle.

Do you know guys how does the front driveshaft angle affect to the cars behaviour? How do the forces apply?

Thanks

I'm sure the theoreticians will say that the swept-back front driveshafts will give better bite under braking.

But in reality I expect it is all to do with packaging. There is limited space in a modern 4wd chassis layout. You may need to move the front gearbox around to get the weight distribution/wheelbase/steering geometry you are looking for.
