Do we see a new stadium truck… short course??? Or have they moved from a race company to basher only?? More kits being discontinued and nothing new racer based released… 🤷🏻♂️

Would be excellent if they released a new 1/10 Stadium Truck, with a carbon fiber chassis, please. A new SCT wouldn't be terrible. Interesting dynamics for Losi. "What sells the best" has a different definition for them than it did in the 90's. But, if they don't release a new buggy, a new truck will never happen.

They’ve hinted a new buggy is in the works, but that’s been the rumor for years. They’ve also said that IF they release a new stadium truck it will be based on the new buggy, and SCT isn’t on their radar. They seem perfectly content with their customers replacing or modifying half the parts on a vehicle to be competitive as long as Phend is winning. Even if he’s winning with a truck you can no longer buy new, and doesn’t even use their chassis. 🤷♂️

I am a local racer at H/A where the worlds is being held. Phend and Sontag practiced last week did not look like anything new on the cars for sure. I guess “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Car is the 2wd Roar champ, and the truck as well, but with some tweeks you might say lol.

I mean, they got rid of trucks because they weren’t selling. It wasn’t because they weren’t winning. It was because the SCT took a new transmission, shocks, shock towers, sway bars, the lowrider kit, new c&d blocks, steering, etc to bring it up to current specs, and the 4.0 truck takes almost all that, plus a new chassis. Who wants to buy a new kit then replace half the parts when you can go buy an AE, X-ray, or Schumacher and get something from this year, not 6-7 years ago. People want the new version, even if revisions are minor. Nobody at TLR seems to be listening though.

Losi have become quite a rare site in the UK, you don't see very many at race meetings other than the odd one.
Not sure they have a driver(s) in the UK any more, nearly everyone runs a B6/LD2 or maybe an XB2. I see more Serpents on track than Losi.
If a new car came out tomorrow I'm not sure it would sell without some top drivers standing behind it and putting out setups.
Having said that - if they rere'd the XX4 it would sell like hot cakes (same goes if they re-released some vintage 2WD stuff)

I wouldn't be surprised if TLR did a Promoto Elite kit or something like that since they're selling so well. I'd love to see them update the 22 5.0 and release a stadium truck. I seem to remember a video not that long ago with Frank Root saying they wouldn't be doing a new SCT.

Yeah. The easiest way to get a “new” TLR SCT is to buy the 22 5.0 DC Elite, truck arms, turnbuckles, bumpers, sway bar kits and the Vision chassis and towers. It sure cost a lot more than a new AE or Xray. Not to mention the spare parts are becoming difficult to find.

I keep wondering what I should do with my old Losis because if I drive them the first part to break will be the end of it. Do you just give up on running "vintage"?
