The thing with the wheels is, many vehicles have different offsets. Luckily, for AE drivers, these offsets are easy to find.

it’s unfortunate alot of kits don't come with body's these days. , but the jconcept's body is way better on the truck and will be what i was going too run anyways.

Bentley501 05-18-2023 03:18 PM

It is a little odd that AE wouldn’t include wheels when they sell them.

Kraig 05-18-2023 07:23 PM

Do you want yellow wheels or white wheels? If it came with white wheels and you wanted yellow wheels or if it came with yellow wheels and you wanted white wheels then guess what...people would be unhappy. It is best to allow the customer to choose what color of wheels they want to use and what body they want to use. With no body and no wheels, maybe the price is a reflection of those items not being included. Something to think about.

not odd at all. I can’t remember the last AE kit I built that included wheels, and I run an entire AE fleet of 10th and 8th scales

No body is starting to get a bit extreme. Heck, even the Xray XT2 comes with a body.

mikea96 05-18-2023 08:05 PM

Yeah and the price isn't any less without the body either!

that's easily remedied. if the kit comes with white wheels and you want yellow or blue or any other color, you ether dye them or paint them. im sure a lot of us have been there and done that. crisis averted.

Thats Crazy if it doesnt come with a body, , sorry but seriously a cheap move if thats the case

My current T6.1 shell is on its last legs, basically held together with glue and tape, if I was needing a new shell, I could maybe be tempted to get a new truck but likely not bother if I'd still have to buy a new shell. Probably a backwards way of looking at it, but I'm sure I'm not the only one!

iv got an RC10T i would like to replace, but im not a racer so that price would hurt. unless like my 10T i can run it for 30 years. anyone still bash stadium trucks or are they just race cars now?

I "bash" all my race bred stadium trucks, mini truggies, and eBuggy platforms. I'm definitely not one of those extreme people who send stuff to the moon and back. I just like kits and great shocks to build, and use on backyard rough track. I'm in real deep with my "4 series" Associated STs/SCTs... hoarded parts early on because fell in love with their handling. Once my supply of T4/SC10 parts dries up, I do plan to get the newest Associated stadium truck as long as there is a way to cover up spur/pinion gear.

The whole "no body included with kit" thing, and the kit price is still the same... that's just a kick in the junk. Is not having an included body enough to keep me from buying a certain kit? Most likely not, because everything these days is done in the same shrinkflation way of things. We will just get numb to it.

Sorry, Team Associated T4.2FT fanboys, but Team Associated should at least throw in an ugly $3 super thin bulldog body with the T6.4 kit, and call it good.

OffRoadJunkie 05-21-2023 06:06 PM

It almost makes you think that AE reads these complaints and laughs about it, saying, "You would still buy our kits even it if raised the prices again and didn't include the shocks." They are one of the first things replaced, after all.

jabroni racing 05-21-2023 06:32 PM

If losi came out with a new kit at the same time, i would consider it with being kicked in the nuts like this.. first it was tires taken from kits which i sort of get, different tracks, then wheels, now friggin bodies??? Whats sad is what does it really cost them for the body when you mass produce it, maybe 3 bux..LOL

Cinnabun 05-22-2023 04:06 AM

im not sure what all the complaining about a body is all about, but im gladly buying the kit. I dont know many people who used the stock t6.2 body anyway because it was paper thin and cracked during the first or second race day.

76jimmy 05-22-2023 04:14 AM

We all feel the pinch. It's definitely a form of shrinkflation even if the stock body was junk. So now we have a t6.4 slider edition. I'll still get it because I really thought the b6.4 was a big improvement over previous releases. But after you get all the parts and the body for carpet it's over $600 for the roller not including electrics. So it's getting to a point where the one cool class that is fun to run is now the most expensive.
