Neo 1 star =13d

4800 = 18T

1 star is the faster of the the two...

The 4300 is a 10.5T (kinda like a whimpy 19T brushed motor)

The Neo (1 star) and the Novak 5800 are 8.5T (like a very mild mod)

The Neo 3 star and Velocity 6.5 are 6.T motors and work well for rubber tire mod on mid sized asphalt tracks. Despite the manufacture claims I found them to be comperarble to a good 10T brushed motor.

Yes, all of the Novak motors should work with the new LRP Sphere Comp. The novak 4.5 is too much motor for the older standard Sphere but all the others work.

using same pinion & spur as you...

only I figure it out by starting with a 21P and discovering I needed to gear up...

Got to say the 1 Star has really impress me with improved lap times...

ok one more thing (Wild Cherry)

are you running in an open mod class ??? or is it just a brushless class ?? and if an open mod class are you able to keep up with brushed motors ? because the class i am running in is open.... and i was doing some practice laps with my friend and he had a checkpoint 12t.... and it seems fast...... and i know there are going to be other brushed motors and a few more brushless...

thanks for all the help....

Steve
At Trcr we race brush & brushless together in the mod class`s..

My Neo 1 star is as fast and even smoother than any regular brush motor design avaiilable .....

My Neo can win at club meets once or even twice a week if I`m on my game...

against motor`s from Novak , Brood , Trinity, ect....

My advise is choose your motor carefully , although my 1 Star is`nt as fast as a 10t or a 11t.. Its achieves the faster lap times because it smoother & deliever`s all the power to the track with out the excess wheel spin you can get from faster winds....

Faster motor`s can have a hard time keeping up with a smoother motor on smaller layouts or low traction conditions...

so don`t over motor is my best advise to you ...

I myself had a bit of hard time accepting this fact untill I saw my own lap times improve with the Neo 1 Star compared to my lap times with the 3 Star...

For what it's worth...i'm sick of people saying that a 4300 is the same as a 19t...LOL...nowhere near close. It's almost exactly the same as a VERY good stocker, only with more punch. Oh yeah...they're 11.5 turns.

I ran one in stock for a year in the parking lots and for 5-6 months at SoCal with 5 cells (geared very tall). In practice, I'd get passed on the straights on 6 cells by a good stocker and smoked on the straights by 19t motors like I was standing still. It runs really well in the infield, but they're not fast on the straights.

The good thing was that while the good stockers could run me down early in a pack, they'd fade towards the end and I wouldn't.

(i did not think you needed timing ajustments with brushless ??? )

My local track is now going to allow the 4300 to run in the stock class, so I hope it is closer to a stock motor than a 19t.
