This subject was touched on this weekend and last, and basically it came down to cost, and availability. There is apparently a massive backlog of cargo in the ports, and they need warehouse space to put it, and most of the cities and counties are not approving any commercial permits, and the current warehouse owners are cranking the price up to match that demand, and really limiting usage on any kind of activities outside of straight warehousing.

A prime example of this is here in Phoenix, there is a massive boom of warehouses being built, as companies move their inventories out of California, here to Arizona where the land is cheaper, and the warehouses are larger, just because of the restrictive nature of the building availability in and around Los Angeles. And 350 miles of Diesel fuel is cheaper than the rent cost of a small warehouse 20 miles away.

Bummer. I'm not sure if such a thing is financially viable anywhere in OC anymore especially a nice indoor facility

Just an FYI to all you guys that used to run at OCRC, Huckleberry RC in Anaheim is starting to run 1/10 scale buggy there and we are trying to build the class up, get your old cars out and join us!

It is primarily an 1/8 scale dirt track though, so no spec classes...you'll want to set your car up for mod to have enough power, guys there are running 6.5t motors.

https://www.huckleberryrc.com/, the schedule changes week to week so you'll want to follow their Facebook group to see when/what they are up to.

Spread the word and come on out!
bleomycin and Jrxpro like this.
