anybody else check horizon hobby's sight? For the losi 8ight now instead of saying that it will be comming soon and that it's due mid august it now says they are out of stock and can be back ordered. Sounds like its out now and should maybe be into the shops this week or next if their website is right.

Hodge already posted shipping last week of August. I was at the RC Driver race this weekend and someone who spoke to Hodge also said last wek of the month. The Mag has not received one yet.

One thing I've learned from working at a hobbyshop is that most of the time the people that you talk to for customer service or w/e don't know when its comming out. I called about the 8ight for myself and some customers back in june and one of the guys told me the end of july i called back again a week later because i didn't believe that and got told the middle of september. I have called sence then and have gotten all sorts of answers on when it will be out. The only people that will actually know are the designers who are trying to perfect it before it comes out. This isn't really a bad thing because hopefully it will end up being really good when it comes out but had I known it would have taken this long I would of bought another buggy instead. By the time this buggy comes out my out door nitro season here in NY will basically be over which sucks because I have one ordered.

I side with Phil.
If you consider the 8ight to be just another buggy, it is not worth you waiting. But, if you know its qualities that top other buggies, it is surly worth the wait. (I'm just SICK of waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I know everybody is excited about this thing but I think the target release was end of summer from the beginning. As far as who does and doesn't know about the release date I can tell you (from experience in manufactureing) that it is very likely that nobody knows when it is coming out exactly. Assembling the materials to package a kit is a long supply chain and while all members of that suply chain are on a schedule it is inevitable that something will come up or need changing (not to mention the possibility of a part vendor not coming through).

I would ignore all of the promised dates. If you really want one, order it. You will know what the release date is when it gets there. It will be worth the wait.
