The entry list for the Cactus has been posted.

It's on their site, and we also posted a link

on our thread here on R/C Tech.

As some of you may have heard or seen on the news recently, there is a 12 year old boy in Ramona who has the merca virus.
That boy is My cousin Carlos.
He has been induced into a coma and is on lung machines.
They are going to have to remove all 10 toes and several fingertips,
This will be the first of MANY operations to come for him.
He is an expert level mx kid, this will be devastating for him as well as my family. Both emotionally and financialy.

This is where I am asking any and all people in our R/C community for help.
I am trying to have a blood drive at FHR. The san diego blood bank will most likley be able to bring the "blood mobile"
All blood types are welcome,as he is in the "exchange" program.
He is going to need a lot from their supply.
All the blood donated helps him in some way!
It is important that if you would rather donate in your free time, that you contact me so I can give you neccesary info to get the blood "credited" to Carlos.

As I am sending this to ALL of my R/c friends even out of town and state,
You guys can help out too. Im sure the blood bank in your area is in the same 'exchange' program.

We have also opened an account in Carlos' name to accept any donations towards the medical expenses.
Carlos also has two younger sisters who have really spearheaded this blood drive though their cheerleading team.

PLEASE, PM me for any additional info.
I will thank you all in advance for reading this, and for possibly taking the time to donate

Default Todays racing

What a turnout today, had a lot of fun. Also some good old bad luck.
Had a great time as always.

Thanks out to Zipper for the power. Made my night.
The new track is going to be quite different from what we've seen the last few times. Same pipes, other way around, and a lot less technical. Can't wait.

Dave, I don't know you but I'm very sorry to hear the news about your Cousin.
The blood drive is a great idea. Remember guys, if you don't make it out to FHR, giving blood anywhere, anytime will help the cause. They transport that blood all over the place, as needed. And the need is everywhere.

Nite all.

On how average how many runs can you get on a set of tires before they need to be replaced.

Depends on the track conditions and the tire. I would say on average I get about 20 runs on a set of holeshots at So Cal. Other tracks holeshots can be done in 2-3 runs. Too many variables to answer this question with a single answer.

OK, Been on the phone all morning with the blood bank.
1st available SAT. is MARCH 24.
I am hoping to coodinate a NICE SIZE race on that day!
Hopefully this date will work well. I checked schedules of JBRL and such, looks like it might work.
So, I'm gonna get a flyer and such worked up, Get the word out.
I'm thinkin So Cal vs FHR round 2(or 3 maybe?) "bloodmatch"

on a side note, it takes longer, and might "zap" you but donating platelettes is good too. =)

Default BLOOD

With a daughter that has had 500 plus blood and platelet transfusion....PLEASE GIVE BLOOD!!!!
She is healthy now,HAD aplastic anemia, bone marrow transplant and is cured.

we had decated donors so we had a constant supply. Before that she needed platelets, bleeding from the mouth and they didnt have any for her. They had to go to a different hospital to save her life. So if you can PLEASE GIVE.

Off my soapbox now

Thanks everyone!
On March 24, (I know it's the weekend after Cactus) I hope you all can come down for a great race.
We'll have Einstien bagels, doughnuts, juice. Working on a catered lunch possibly(for the weakend donors)
I think you'll find it one of THE most worthy causes you might find yourself 'racing' for in the near future

P.s. If Slim'pickin's is lookin(or if any one can get him to look)
I'm hoping for an O.k. to use the So Cal logo on the flyer for the "blood drive" race

We could organize a car pool.
There would be two categories. Drivers, and riders which pay for gas.
Of course I would fall into the riders category, as I have no car.
Maybe that's why I am thinking of this.
You may have my arm, if I can get it there.
