Joe-- I thought I derailed you last time we raced!

I hope I can get out of the house. I am in a little hot water right now. I got to pull out all the stop and see if I can get on the good side again!

So Cal had the gears they were just in a box and not on the wall. I broke mine on Sunday and got one. They had more so he should be able to fix it!

2wd buggy:

Rear: Proline Holeshot M3s are very good, especially when the track is fresh. Losi X-2000s Pink are considered faster when the track is drier, but slightly harder to drive. They will also last longer than Holeshots. Square Fuzzies are pretty much always the best. However, they DO NOT last. 2-3 runs. Only in big races are they used. Some people like the Panther Switch 2.0s in SS compound, but they might be hard for you to find. Trinity Bomb1 foams are popular. Stock foams always go flat too soon to get all the life out of the tire.

Front: Most pros run Proline 8175 M3. You can also use Losi 7202s. Pink will give you very aggressive steering. Red will be smoother than the others and good in mod. Run 3/4 width stock REAR foams in any of these.

Truck:

Rear: Proline Holeshot M3 is the tire of choice most of the time. 95% of people run these. Some may run Losi Kingpins in Pink, but they don't hook up as much. Panther switch 2.0s are also used by the Panther guys. Trinity Bomb1 foams. Or Proline 2-stage when very dry.

Front: This is extremely varying between cars. Most pros run Proline Edge M3, but I find them inconsistent and hard to drive. I prefer Losi 8-rib Red, smoother steering and geat wear. Some run Losi directionals, but I find them to be like the Edges. Panther guys run either the V-rib (like Edges), Micro rib (like 8-rib), or switches in clay compound.

4wd:

Rear: Pretty much same as 2wd.

Front: Varying as well. Mostly Holeshots in M3. Some run Losi Blockheads, I have had good success with them in silver. Also Panther is popular in this class with the switches.

Hope this helps... took a while to write

The new Pink X-3000 are really hooked up as well. I like them a lot more then the X-2000 as they seem to be more consistant.

Just a few updates I'd like to add..

For 2wd fronts, 8175s are the best (with full rear foams), or for Losi fronts 7205s usually run pretty good too. For rear, the tires are dead on, just run stock foam in Proline rears, bomb 1 grey in Losi rears. For 4wd fronts, usually red blockhead for Losi rears, and maybe (I haven't had a chance to try them yet) Inside Jobs with Fuzzie Rears...

Just an FYI
