I'm looking forward to getting back out to SoCal.
Hopefully the new layout will be good... I'm looking forward to seeing what Slim can do with the track the way the pipes are now. the last two layouts have been pretty fun.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the layout change didn't occur yesterday. It's still the same and it's getting slippery.

unfortunately that will be good news for me,, i need to do some testing with these new tires.. and with antisquat.. planning on putting about 1-degree in and leaving the tires the same r3 evil twins.. if this is the ticket.. then i will use them for my 4wd buggy aswell.. they seem to have insane grip,, having the truck flip over on half throttle at stand still..

So, what tire/compound works best on the new layout for a T4?

I had some success with silver compound taper pins...any suggestions?

for a truck the best tires are holeshots, they seem to hook up the best

Pink Kingpins work well for me at so cal. M3 and R3 holeshots may not work as well with the track dry and hard. Evil twins or square fuzzies will work but not last very long. Pink Tapers will work if someone sweeps and you stay in the groove when the track drys out.

Well, this track is getting pretty dried out when it comes to usual socal tracks. Slim insisted on sleeping in the backroom instead of redoing the track yesterday, so that means another week of this track. I wish watering the track would make a difference like it did at the beginning of the track's life, improved times by about half a lap.

As for tires, I'm still running M3 Holeshots (I think they're M3) (with Hartson superfoam) and then some Losi ribbed fronts.

M3 Holeshots. If you are rich or sponsored, M3 Squares...

well i tried my brand new holeshot m3's and compared them to my r3 evil twins.. to me the evil twins didnt spin the tires as much as the holeshots.. the holeshots seem to make the car wander a lil , on certain parts of the track.. the evil twins did have the traction needed ad when it did brake the rear loose it seemed to be more controlable.. just my findings of course. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
