Casper, me and my buddy want to thank you for the kickdowns yesterday at So Cal. Very generous of you!
It was his first time ever racing. You made quite an impression. He is hooked. Look forward to racin with you again sometime in the near future.
Thanks alot,
Craig Hammon
So, Homies, where to next? Pegasus? Next Saturday?
What's the deal out there?
Start time?
Tires?
General set up? Springs soft/firm? Oil light/heavy?
Still runnin a BK2 and XX4.

The track is open pretty much all day and the races usually start at 5pm.

Generally Holeshots work there, but I've seen Big Shots, Inside Jobs and Bowties there. It's a little (lot?) more wide-open than So-Cal and for the most part, it's smoother (less bumps/footprints), but it got hammered a bit by the rain. We should have it dialed again for next weekend, though. Picture the current SoCal layout with about 50% more space and way wider lanes.

$10 first class, $8 second. We've been getting done by 9:30.

They have power and (some) pit light, but you'd be better off bringing a lamp (and a jacket ). There are food places nearby as well...Mickey D's and EPL is in the same lot (go around the back without messing with traffic)..

I hope you come out...I know it's a drive, but know you'll have fun out there

Turbo pretty much covered the basic and for car set ups, they should be the same you used at so cal. Just so everyone knows racing starts at 5pm and the hobby shop closes at 6pm so parts will be tough to get after 6. The race program is ran by myself and a handful of regular racers who help with the maintenance. Now that Socal has officially closed we will be looking at the current scheduling and possibly changing days and times. Stop by the Pegasus thread and post your thoughts or Ideas and we will go from there.

Just wanted to say that I visited SoCal Raceway once several years ago when I flew down for a race. I made it a point to check it out since I had seen numerous vehicle tests in RCCA and other mags.

Had my onraod car with me and did a few laps. Even got to see and meet Kinwald, Hodge and Losi Jr. testing a car.

When I went to inquire about cost to practice, I told the guy I was visiting from Oregon and that I wanted to see for myself what I had read about. He didn't even charge me. he even gave me some SOCAL Raceway stickers.

So sad to see so many tracks, esp. larger ones like the Ranch etc, long gone.

Spread the word people. Quit buying online and spend your $$ at the LHS. Keep the shops going!

We should have run gas truck in socal more often. There were 6 or so gas trucks, a truggy, and a crt.5 out there and it wasn't bad at all. Granted at midnight in winter with the air conditioning on it gets kind of cold in there.

It is illegal to run gas at So Cal. They tried to get the permit but they would have needed to spend a lot on ventalation and other things to get the OK from the FD. Trust me a night of sucking in nitro fumes will give you a nice big headache! It was fun to do everyonce in a while though!

You're not the only one waiting for any good news. It'd be a great X-Mas present for us.
