Default buggy help

I am thinking of sell my t maxx and thinking of getting another buggy. I had an ofna lx pro that wasn't to bad but wasn't a race truck. I would like to move up the ladder this time around. Kind of like ofna's because I don't have a local hobby shop and tower hobbies carries a lot of there parts. But with all the 9.5 hypers and jammins I am lost. I want something that is a good basher but can take to evensdale to race if I want this summer and maybe if the track me and a friend are making gets done drive it on it. Is there a different brand that tower handles a lot of parts out there?

Mugen MBX-5, if you can afford it, great car very durable, very well built, or a Kyosho. Those are my choices, Mugen is my next car.

The new Mayhem Pro is built like a tank for the money. Sure there are better buggies out there but for what you want you can't go wrong for the money.

Default Jammin RTR

Get the RTR pro Jammin buggy. It is easy to drive and part friendly.

If it was mostly bashing i would go with the Hyper 9.5 but if you were to do the two or just race than go the Jammin X1. Only problem with the Jammin is the .26

Cheers

I would say the Jammin or the new Hyper 8 pro. The new Hyper 8 pro sounds interesting. I thought the Jammin comes with an .28 now.

yes the x1 does come with the .28, however it's a engine really built for torque. yes it will have good top end but i cant see any club stopping you from running. i mean unless you are a gun driver & beat blokes with 21's this should not be a problem + i have been told it's an improvement over the .26.

the car mind you is the goods

I don't know if Tower Hobbies carries it, but don't forget about the Xray XB8R. It is Xray's "budget" buggy. really nice spec for racing, should be more durable than the ofna's for bashing.
Jammin' X1 RTR would be good too for RTR.
Kyosho isn't carried anymore by Tower... Do you use Tower because they are close? I know a few other very good online Hobby Shops that can easily get you parts for other brands if your interested.

Thanks all now you made my choice even harder.
I don't really need a radio gear but would like a motor but most kit have no motor or radio gear and a good powered motor is 150.00+ so maybe rtr might be the way to go I don't know. The only big block I had was the .25 ofna motor witch it's a power one. I heard most .21's had more power so if I got a kit I would need a decent motor for it that has more power than the .25.

I think the hyper 8 looks good also. I think it is a couple steps higher than the lx pro I had before.
