Default 1/8 Truggy ESC/ Motor options

looking to try something different. just for kicks. want to try something low end in my new et48 2.0 just to test while I await a Tekin setup to get back in stock. and see what lower end setups are decent enough for a nice basher setup.

Not exactly low end. Deal with it.

To actually answer your question, RCJuice sells Surpass motors and ZTW ESCs under the HobbyStar name. You can get them even cheaper on Ali/eBay but you'll have to wait a few weeks. I've been running Surpass motors for years and ran a ZTW ESC in my old truggy. If you look at a lot of ESCs these days you'll notice about half of them are ZTW rebrands.

thanks. I’m considering the Skyrc TS150 Pro Aluminum esc with the ToroX8 Pro v3. But I can’t find any good specs on it to know if it’s a Truggy or Buggy motor.

I can't find a length for that motor, either. It's probably buggy length, but plenty of people run buggy motors in truggy.

That ESC is good BUT the BEC only goes to 6V which is pretty limiting with HV servos.

Yeah I did see that 6v BEC. But I’ll just get a good 6v servo for it. I seen a JX servo that is .12/350oz @6v for cheap. Brushless motor as well.
just really want to find a good go to basher set up that is fairly cheap. As I got a bunch of friends that won’t spend the money for quality Tekin/HW stuff. I do. Have many of each. But I’m not all that good anymore and I don’t race enough where it will really make a difference in my lap times. Until I can get more consistent that is.

Never tried Hobbyking esc. But their other electronics are not of good quality.
