Bleeding Traxxas GTR shocks

I have only done shocks with bleeder screw and i'm struggling to bleed the gtr shocks with zero rebound. The shocks keep rebounding back out 3/4 of the way and when you fully extend the shaft it want to go back in 1/4. I must be doing something wrong getting frustrated. Any advise or video will be appreciated.

the biggest thing when bleeding bladder is when you are stroking the shock up during the bleed is to go EXTREMELY slow. You want the cap basically just loose enough to let oil bypass. You want the oil to push out and not compress the bladder. You will either have some suction or rebound. You pick which one, that’s just the nature of it. To get zero rebound you’ll have a bit of suction. To have no suction you’ll have rebound.

Whenever I did shocks, I always did it that way. Are you only pushing the shaft halfway in? That is how I got that result. I assume if you want 0 rebound, you should be pushing all the way in. I always liked that rebound, to help the suspension. I expect 0 rebound is almost impossible without the bleed screw

The way to get as close as possible to zero rebound is to put the bladder on first, without the cap, move the shaft all the way up and let oil (and air) out by carefully lifting one edge of the bladder, and then screw on the cap.
