hi, i cant believe how fast brushes wear out! i completely wore a pair of brushes, in 2 weeks of backyard bashing!

1- how long should brushes last?
2- is one brush supposed to wear more than the other?
3- does gearing affect brush life?

thnks in advance, my son has a rustler, with a modified 15 turn in it.

2 weeks of bashing... Wow those brushes lasted for a very long time. Depending on the brush, motor, springs... some will only last 1 or 2 battery packs.

2 weeks is long life for brushes? bashing 2 packs a day? wow, never knew. are there long lasting brushes?

Try XXX brushes. You can get them at www.banzaimotors.com for $5.00 a pair. I would make sure that comm gets cut before you put new brushes in it. You LHS or a local track should offer the service for a small fee.

Make sure you aren't over geared, let the motor cool down between runs. I can get 4 weeks or 35 to 40 runs on Gm 03 brushes..
