A Good Stock Motor For XXX-T
 

What is the best stock Motor for my XXX-T???
I have a Epic Bianary,Monster Stock or a P2K2 Pro??? :confused:
I have a Co27 But that is going in my TC4!!!! ;)

P2K2 if its a short tight track(60x40), Monster if its a medium track (100x40-60)

CO27 is my favorite for truck
 

I would use the CO27 in your Truck. At the Jimmy Babcock at So CAL 3-26 they were the hot ticket. Birdman makes a version now that is screaming for truck. Some guys were actually using them in 19 turn class because they could handle it better on the track. Great Motor. Birdman does not have them on the site yet but he has them just give him a call. There were 8 at So Cal and sold fast.

So in stock offroad truck, are people generaly gearing 2-3 above a Monster Stock for the CO27 then?

Yes, in Stock I was geared at 17/88. I was geared 16/88 which was a great place to start, I just wanted a little more. temp was good. Mafia, axiom site looked good. great price on the motor. when will they be in stock?

Yeah the CO27 is deffinitely fast in Truck. The best motor I have used so far that has impressed me for speed. I am geared a bit differently for I run 86/19 and it seems to work well for our track. A few of us are running them and are doing F brushes with red/purple and green springs. Of course I just looked at the topic and it says XXX-T so I don't know if the original poster is using the old truck or referring to the MF2. I am using the MF2, so your gearing may be different then mine.

More CO27's are due to hit this week. You can order now if you are willing to wait. I have stuff going out just as fast as it comes in.

Sounds like the co27 is a gun motor for stock..

Just ran a 2day with one geared 18/86 in my MF2 and took 2nd place with 183 entries. First place was also running one.

If you have a real real small track the P2K is good for that.

We are doing a big race this weekend at our local track and I am now using the CO27 in both my buggy and truck. I am qualified the middle of the A in stock truck and middle of the B in both Stock buggy and Pro Stock Truck. I think these motors rip and am thoroughly impressed with how much faster and torqueyer <sp they actually are. One of my motors I got from Doug with the intention to run it in my sedan but am now using that motor in my buggy and I got another locally from my shop. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to try them out. You really need to find the gearing that will work with the motor you are using but once you do it is great.
