of those two id go with the ZX-5. much easier to work on and the parts are relativily cheap.

Yup, I agree with rcdude19641. The xx-4 requires a saddle-type battery pack, which might hassle you when you already have some side-by-side or stick type packs. Considering the ZX-5 is shaft drive, it's easier to work on.

RC411 have a review on their site @ http://www.rc411.com/pages/reviews.php?review=45
The downside with the Losi kit is the use of saddle packs and 3 belt drive drain. Still a very nice buggy and handles great.
A review of the XX-4 W.E can be found @ http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewxx4/index.html
What parts does your local hobby shop stock?

Cheers

I'm biased, I like my ZX-5

One way to look at, the XX-4 is limited reproduction until Losi makes their xxx-4 successor

ZX-5 is a brand new car, works out of the box and parts are available.

Um, Losi already hase released the XXX4; its been out a number of years, and they just re-released the XX4.... Something nobody has mentioned on this thread yet is the very long, incredibly successful career the XX4 has behind it. You name a race, the XX4 has one it - IFMAR worlds, ROAR nats, EUROS, Japan's Golden week and other races, you name it, the XX4 has probably won it. And it's still proving itself to be very capable.

If you want great reviews of both cars, check out www.oople.com. He's based in England, but does great indepth reviews of a few cars. He's also got pics/reviewed a sweet looking carbon chassis for the ZX-5.

RC Driver reviewed the XX-4 WE in the newest issue. I have one and I love the dang thing. It is AWESOME with a GTB 6.5 and SMC 3800's. Although I might want to try out a shaft drive buggy soon...

well ive driven and raced both in the last 6 months side by side and went for the zx5 myself, i found there to be very little between the cars on the track but the zx5 is easier to work on and a lot cheaper for spares. and hop ups as well ( because who doesnt like bling )
