As asked previously, this car takes a 5.5mm turnbuckle wrench.

Hello!! I am looking for 1/8 scale buggy and just sold my tekno eb48.3
Will this kyosho mp10e be an upgrade over the eb48.3
Also compared to the other latest platforms(tlr 8ight xe, eb48 2.0 etc) how good is this buggy? Anybody who has driven multiple platforms please your advice/feedback is apprrciated!

I don't have one, but I haven't heard any complaints. A couple of my friends changed over and are happy with it.

I'd recommend looking at JQRacing's video on Pivot Ball vs C hub cars and how they drive. His explanation mirrors my experiences with the 2 types and one may fit your driving style better.

It is very in depth with examples. People have their opinions on him but hes very informative. He also has a few videos on how to make a pivot ball drive more like a C hub and the other way around if thats of interest.

i don’t recall there ever being an electric truck offered as a kit. In the past you’d have to convert nitro to electric. Given the departure of sharing a common chassis as was the case for MP9 (pre EVO) I can’t see a conversion kit coming anytime soon for the MP10. That said I haven’t seen an electric truck of any variety at my track for a few years.

What’s everyone running in their diffs?

im currently running 775 indoor medium grip track.

-2 camber all around, rear end seems to have a little
to much grip.

I usually run 553 but last weekend the track was medium grip and out of curiosity I tried 15k in the center. The difference is night and day. Thicker oil means less power transfer to the lighter end (mostly front) The punch and acceleration was noticeable but the downside is the rear was less stable so I had to use less throttle as well as a bit smoother with throttle inputs. To get the rear to slide I’d suggest thicker center and/or thicker rear sway bar which will transfer some grip to the front

How were your lap times with the thicker center oil? Did you like it or would you try 10K next time in the center?

i liked the urgency, it felt like I’d increased the power on the ESC, but it did make it a little harder to drive in the turns so I had to ease up on mashing the throttle. Lap times were more consistent with the thicker oil but that may have been more pilot settling down, slow is fast... I’ll next give 10k a go then play with front rear oils.
