ESC/G2 Motor Combo (2600kV)

thats the “older” model and has just been superseded with the G3 motors and G2S speedy but I’m sure it’ll be more than capable for what you want. Given you have a LHS I’d lean toward what they have - Tekin/HW etc

Is the G2s out in stores yet? I don't think they come as a combo just yet. Only the regular Plus does. Wait a month and I'm sure the new version of the XR8 Plus will be out in stores. The combo might take longer.

It will work. It's going to be a really fast motor. Higher KV = higher RPMs. Just keep an eye on your ESC and motor temps..

From the looks the 2800kv is an open can as it’s an on road racing motor. How open, no idea, but I’d advise against muddy or dirty adventures and stick with the stock 14T as it will go like a rocket. With the hobbywing I would also recommend the HW OTA programmer assuming you got one that’s compatible.

For street ie asphalt then I’d look at this depending on your climate.

I'd use what ever your LHS has. I use Losi as it comes in a big bottle and good quality/price but I've used others and they're all ok. The viscosity aren't necessarily like for like (CST to CST) but for your use I wouldn't sweat it.

Hey matty i went off that setup sheet and it had 30,000 for diff gear front and rear 50k for center. i just put this in front and sealed it up is supposed not be as free to spin like i need to put some muscle in it to spin it is this due to the oil being thick. i know mp9 i used 3000 in front and rear 5000 for center and it spins nice and freely just want to make sure this is normal

Yes and no… you may have added too oil much and locked it up. There’s a grub screw on the diff case. Hold the diff so that’s facing up then unscrew it. If oil gushes out then too much oil, leave it and let out the pressure. If just a trickle it’s fine, remember to put the screw back in.. The diffs will be a little tight until things break in. 30k is very thick but the whole package will need a little time, a battery or two, to loosen up.
