Eco Power 17.5
Has anyone used the eco power 17.5 brushless motor from Amain? Everything I've read about them seems good, but has anyone raced with it and have a legitimate review on it's performance. Looking to outfit my 2 boys new buggies, and they seem to be the ticket.

Tech Regular
Tune it to 6 Amps with amp meter and gear it accordingly and you won't notice a difference from a 100 dollar motor. There are videos on YouTube that show you how to tune with an amp meter while the motor is in the car. I have tuned some cheap track star motors for some guys and they have out ran team motors.

Its a slow 17.5.. You wont have the power to clear the big jumps that the faster 17.5s will be able to clear but its a good cheap way to learn the track until you can handle a faster motor

If it aint got a torque rotor it aint got shit!

From a main.com’s page on he motor:
From what I can see, this motor is made by Surpass, who makes lots of motors for leading brands, as well as very strong motors under their own brand. These probably sell for the prices they do because Amain has unsurpassed (see what I did there?) buying power and this probably won’t have a “match grade rotor”, but it’s not going to be “slow”. Tuned decently, it’s probably pretty fast. Get it, let someone who knows what they’re doing set the timing and recommend the gearing. If you lose, I promise the motor won’t be the reason.
