Default 1/10 4wd truggy options

I'm in the market for a 1/10 4wd truggy and I was just looking for peoples opinion on the different trucks and help getting an idea of what is out there. I'm pretty much sold on the Tekno et410, but its currently sold out. I looked at the Hobao, but is seems like its too fragile. The Xray looks nice, but it's kinda expensive and it's also sold out. Has anyone tried to make a Rival MT into more of a truggy? The hubs look big so I wasn't sure if the smaller wheels would fit. I'm not interested in the Traxxas stuff.

I've heard the PR Racing Sb401r-t is a pretty solid truck!

X-Ray is sold out because they just press released the 2021 model yesterday. Id wait for that, or Ive heard wonderful things on the PR Racing locally.

What is the durability and parts availability on the PR Racing stuff? I've never heard of them, but they do look really nice.

I've owned the Hobao, the Tekno and the Rival MT10.

Don't get the Hobao. Tekno is a bit fragile, but you can update the hingepins with some new arms which should help a lot. The Rival MT10 takes 2.8" wheels and is a higher CG, so probably wouldn't work that well. Pretty good MT though.

I've raced the HoBao, TEKNO and currently PR Racing, I've also raced with many XRay drivers in the class too.

Of these 4 offerings, the PR Racing will give you the most value and is also the most durable as well as being a top performer. Only parts I've broken on my PR have been a stripped spur gear on occasion and bent Lundsford turnbuckles where Lundsford offers a lifetime warranty.

HoBao is flooded with durability issues and will be way too expensive to address everything
TEKNO goes through bulkheads which cost $25 a pop to replace... I once saw a guy break 3 bulkheads in the same day... talk about having really bad luck!
XRay goes through arms like candy, supposedly they are going to fix this with the 2021 release.

There are 5 dealers for PR so there is no problem getting parts in the US, and the geometry between PR and XRay is extremely similar

Here's my review:
