Default Cheap Brushless

I'm looking at switching to brushless, but I'm on a budget, does anyone know where I can get a BL motor, and ESC for 1/10 cheap? It doesn't have to have tons of featues, I just want it to go faster than my brushed setup. My budget is about $75, thats what I'd spend on a better ESC and faster brushed motor anyway. I don't plan on racing this setup, just bashing.

the only way to get one that low would be used mabey you could find a used novak super sport and 4300 around $100 but I would save and get a mamba max, lrp or novak gtb they are much much better.

look for brushless set-up on the for sale forum...

$ 75 still may not be enough

The cheapest mamba max I could find with an ESC was around $200 and if I spend that much on a motor my wife will kill me.

id like to suggest the novak xbr sport brushless esc/motor combo for a mere $180 from tower for the speed control with either a 13.5, 10.5 or 8.5 motor. speed control only handles as low as a 8.5 brushless, but has a no limit for brushed motors, which is why i think im going to get it, because 13.5 is dominate in stock racing, and still have the availability to run an 11 turn brushed motor when needed!!!

You better either just keep an eye on ebay of prepare for death. I just laid down 500 for a Neu BAM motor. It is imposable to get new stuff for really any less. You best bet is www.b-p-p.com. Troy gives the best deals I know of.

Maybe they have different priorities or income level than you. Did that cross your mind before you posted? I'll bet 95% of all the racers that their wives have no idea what we spend on RC related stuff. And if they did, your right. YOU would be the "boss at your house",because you would be the only one living there!

Watch ebay for a Novak super sport and a 4300 or a 5800.
check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/NOVAK-SUPER-SPOR...QQcmdZViewItem or
http://cgi.ebay.com/Novak-4300-Brush...QQcmdZViewItem
then when you have more $$$ pick up a motor it will run the 4300,5800, 13.5, 10.5 and 8.5

The problem with the Novak purchase is the rather limited motor choices. The Novak motors are around $100 each. You can buy better sensorless motors for less money and have a much better choice if he goes with a Mamba.

One thing he is not think of is that if he gets the Mamba esc he can use it to control his brushed motor for now till he can afford to get a motor. This may be his best bet to get a top line brushless controller.

Now a Mamba ESC will control any size brushed motor right? or does it have a limit?

does anybody know anything about this type of brushless ESC? http://cgi.ebay.com/RC-BRUSHLESS-ESC...QQcmdZViewItem
It says it's rated at 30A but doesn't say anything about wattage. Thanks for the help.
