What surface are you driving on? Outdoor lowbite 201 or 201xr, high bite outdoor or indoor clay 211. I haven't driven on carpet but I assume 211 for that, you'll find good advice on the facebook group for tamiya 2wd.

I have run my 211 on indoor carpet and yes it works very well on it I didn't have to much change.

I so wanted a Hornet and my dad bought me a falcon for Christmas in 1990. He made up for it a year later and got me a Gold Stamp RC10 Champ edition though.

A lot of good classic 2WD Tamiya buggies... No such thing as best.

I am upgrading my Sand Viper (DT-02) and making it the new stay at home project.
I also have an original Astute that needs a little refurbishing, but having a lot of trouble finding parts.

I had an Astute as a kid and loved it. I'd get another one if I could.

I recently rebuilt my daughters Grasshopper and my TRf201. I think any TAMIYA buggy is fun. Get the Tamiya 47381 Super Astute 2WD Buggy or Tamiya 58477 2WD Buggy DN-01 Chassis Zahhak
